If you are visiting Seoul for only a few days, a veneer that can be finished in one day sounds ideal. Sometimes it is. This page explains Lucid Dental's One-Day LUCINATE option, which cases tend to suit it, and when a longer plan gives a more predictable result.

Can I really get veneers in one day in Seoul?

In selected cases, yes. Lucid Dental offers One-Day LUCINATE, a same-day veneer option. Your dentist decides after an exam whether it suits your teeth, bite, and goals.

Same-day work is usually most practical when only a few teeth are treated and the change is modest. Larger smile makeovers often need a design stage, a try-in, and fine-tuning over more than one visit.

How are same-day veneers different from standard porcelain veneers?

The main difference is time for design, fabrication, and checking. Standard porcelain veneers are made to a planned design after the teeth are prepared and scanned, then tried in before bonding. Same-day options compress those steps into a single appointment.

Feature One-day option Standard LUCINATE (multi-visit)
Visits One long appointment, in suitable cases Two or more visits with fabrication time between
Typical case Few teeth, small changes 6–10 teeth, shape and shade redesign
Try-in before bonding Limited time to review Time to review and adjust
Price Quoted after assessment From ₩1,190,000 per tooth

Cleveland Clinic makes a similar point about crowns: lab-made crowns usually take two to three weeks, same-day options can finish in one visit, and same-day work is not for everyone. The same trade-offs apply to veneers.

Who is a good candidate for one-day veneers?

You may be a good candidate if your teeth and gums are healthy, you want to change a small number of teeth, and your bite is stable. You may need a longer plan if you have any of the following.

  • Teeth grinding or a deep overbite, which the ADA says can make veneers less suitable.
  • Untreated decay or gum disease, which must be treated first.
  • Large changes in tooth length, shape, or position.
  • Dark staining that is hard to mask in one session.
  • A desire to treat eight or more teeth for a full smile redesign.

What happens during a one-day veneer appointment?

Every case differs, but a same-day visit usually follows this order.

  1. Exam, photos, and X-rays to confirm your teeth and gums are healthy.
  2. Agreement on shape and shade for the teeth being treated.
  3. Any needed tooth preparation and a digital scan or impression.
  4. Making the veneers to the agreed design.
  5. Try-in, bonding, polishing, and a bite check.
  6. Aftercare advice, plus copies of your records on request.

Plan to spend most of the day at or near the clinic. Your dentist will tell you how long to allow.

Are composite veneers a faster alternative?

Sometimes. Composite veneers are built directly on the tooth with tooth-colored resin. The ADA notes they need less enamel removal and fewer visits, and are easier to repair, but they are not as stain- or wear-resistant as porcelain. Read more on our composite bonding page.

What should I ask before choosing a same-day veneer?

A fast result is only useful if it looks right and lasts. Before you agree to a one-day plan, ask these questions and get the answers in writing.

  • Which material will be used, porcelain or composite, and why?
  • How much enamel, if any, will be removed from each tooth?
  • Will I see and approve the shape and shade before bonding?
  • What happens if a veneer chips after I fly home?
  • Would a two-visit plan give me a noticeably different result?

Clear answers help you compare a same-day option with a standard plan fairly.

What if I do not qualify for One-Day LUCINATE?

You still have options that fit a trip. A standard LUCINATE plan needs more than one visit, and your dentist gives you a day-by-day schedule at consultation. Lucid's late hours help: the clinic is open until 20:30 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and on Saturdays from 10:00 to 16:00.
