According to the UK Foreign Office, British citizens can visit South Korea for up to 90 days for tourism without a visa, provided they hold an onward or return ticket. British nationals are temporarily exempt from the K-ETA until 31 December 2026, and the e-Arrival card can optionally be submitted online up to 72 hours before arrival. UK bodies urge caution, and their advice is worth following wherever you travel. The General Dental Council suggests you speak to your own dentist first, check the overseas dentist's registration and qualifications, and agree in advance who handles aftercare and complications.

  1. See your UK dentist. Get a check-up and ask for your latest X-rays and notes; the GDC recommends this step.
  2. Request an initial opinion. Send records and photos through an online dental consultation. This is a preliminary view, not a final plan.
  3. Match trip length to treatment. Lab-made veneers usually need at least two visits a few weeks apart in a typical setting (Cleveland Clinic), and implants typically need three to nine months of healing before the final crown, so implants usually mean two trips.
